Winter
It might be cold outside, but there is no better time to come out to the farm and celebrate! Christmas on the farm is special! We provide wagons and saws for u-cut Christmas trees, or choose from one of our many pre-cut Christmas tree varieties. The barn store is full of decorations, fresh wreaths and garlands, and gifts. It is a magical time at the farm you don’t want to miss!
U-Cut Christmas Trees
The farm grows a selection of pine and cypress trees for you to choose from for our U-CUT Christmas trees. We mark each tree that is for sale in our fields with a price tag indicating what type of tree it is and its height. The farm provides your saw and wagon to help cut down and get your tree back to the barn.
Our staff will take your tree, give you a ticket for the barn, shake the tree out, bale it, and load it on top of your car or in the back of your truck for you. You simply take your ticket in the barn and pay. It is easy and fun. The farm also has a large selection of pre-cut Christmas trees to choose from.
These are varieties of trees that cannot be grown here in Oklahoma, like Fir and Spruce. Just simply choose a tree from our forest of pre-cut varieties and have one of our staff get it from the stand. They will hand you a ticket, and you will pay for your tree in the barn while we shake, bale, and load your Christmas tree. While in the barn you can shop for gifts or grab some hot cocoa!
Handmade Real Wreaths
Deck the halls with real evergreen this Christmas! A handmade wreath is not only beautiful but is a great way to fill your home with the fresh and fragrant smell of holiday cheer! Be sure to stop by the Barn Store this Christmas to shop the wide selection of wreaths, garlands, mantle pieces, and greenery.
Christmas Tree Care
Taking care of a real Christmas tree is easy. The first thing you need to remember is to keep your tree hydrated. Making sure you have a tree stand with a bowl or vessel that is in good shape and not cracked is very important.
Keeping that vessel full of water at all times is the best way to ensure your tree is well hydrated and stays healthy for as long as possible. If your tree does happen to be left without water for too long, it will develop a seal over the fresh cut. This will need to be re-cut to allow the tree to drink up water again. Pre-cut Christmas trees are always given a fresh cut before being sent home with you to set up.
While it is normal to expect some shedding with a real tree, keeping your tree hydrated is the best way to prevent excessive shedding. We shake all trees from the farm to help get rid of any loose needles before you go home with it.
It is very important to keep your tree far away from your fireplace, or any other potential fire hazard. Keeping your tree out of a sunny spot, drafty areas, or directly from under a vent also helps it not to dry out too quickly.
If you follow these simple guidelines, you should have a happy tree that can last well after Christmas.
