Summer at the farm is when everything is growing! Come pick flowers, lavender, blackberries, fresh produce, or just enjoy homemade ice cream at the Barn Store while you shop the farm’s selection of seasonal finds. You don’t want to miss our annual 4th of July Sale! It is the farm’s anniversary, and we like to celebrate the USA and the farm’s birthday with fresh produce and all the things you will need to make your 4th of July a fantastic day!
U-Pick Blackberries
Picking blackberries is so much fun and so easy! Starting in June our blackberries are typically ready for you to come and enjoy.
Just grab a bucket in the Barn Store, go out to the Blackberry Patch, and pick the darkest blackberries you can find.
Next, you will bring your bucket back to the barn to weigh and pay! We send you home with take home containers for your berries and smiles.
The key to finding the best blackberries is simple. Just look for dark berries with no redness. Blackberries do not continue to ripen once picked, so to avoid the sourness that comes with the taste of underripe blackberries, just pick black ones.
The berries easily come off the green bushes when picking. Another bonus is these blackberries are completely thornless! Fun for everyone!
U-Pick Flowers
The farm grows a variety of flowers every summer for you to enjoy and choose from. Simply, grab a glass jar in the Barn Store or a plastic flower sleeve. We provide you cutting shears, and you can go cut whatever selection of flowers you like. The farm currently grows sunflowers, lavender, zinnias, gomphrena, marigolds, celosia, cosmos, and a selection of herbs to accompany your bouquet.
Fourth of July
Celebrate the USA and the farm’s birthday with us! With homemade ice cream, u-pick blackberries and flowers, and lots of fresh produce it is always a great day to be at the farm!
